Savisto Smoothies: Protein Punch

After a tough workout, it’s important to get some protein into your body. A dose of protein in the first 30 minutes after exercise helps to heal micro-tears in muscles, making them stronger over time.
 
The best way to get a quick protein hit is to knock up a shake, or in the case of this recipe, a punch.

In creating this recipe, we’ve opted for protein-packing peanut butter and almond milk, along with an energy-boosting banana and everyone’s favourite superfood kale (don’t worry, you can’t taste it).

The result is a drink that provides 7g of protein for just 170 calories. 

A glass of this post-workout and you’ll be fit and ready to go again in no time. 

What you need: 

150ml unsweetened almond milk
1 banana
Handful of curly kale 
1tbsp peanut butter 
1tsp maple syrup

What you need to do:

Pop all of the ingredients into a blender and pulse until smooth. Easy!
